Exploration of cultural diversity in Society
We are proud to emphasize our commitment to Multiculturalism at Delia as featured in our many endeavours to promote and celebrate cultural diversity at our school and in the community at large. The past few years have seen us receive many prestigious invitations to promote harmony and diversity as seen in 2007 for the TVB show, “The 10th Anniversary of Handover of HKSAR to the PRC” and the 2008 & 2012 features “Jordan's Honey” and “Our Cricket Field” put forth by the RTHK Drama group. Both of the aforementioned features showcase the hidden stories of ethnic minorities presented both at Delia Primary School and the greater community throughout Hong Kong.
Respect and Harmony among different ethnicities
Our external and internal competitions allow opportunities for students to celebrate their heritage through various Dance (Oriental & Latin Dance), Music, Speech, Drama and Sports activities. Within our own school, we proudly hosted a PTI day with a theme of 'Multiculturalism' exhibiting different countries' clothing, customs, cuisine and history. This fosters an overwhelming sense of welcoming and tolerance amongst our entire student body. They are learning to become appreciative of the diversity throughout the world.
Broadening of Horizons to different cultures
This year, our assembly series has been focused solely on introducing our students to the myriad of cultural diversity represented in our school by choosing to focus on a particular region of the world that our students come from. This learning opportunity has been met with both praise and keen interest as our students demonstrate their compassion and eagerness to celebrate the diversity they see each and every day in the classroom.

Respect for Different Cultures
We are committed to fostering multiculturalism for the integration of different cultures both inside and outside the school. We provide different activities, such as dancing, music, drama and games, to let our children develop respect, tolerance, and acceptance for cultures and people from different places.
Knowing Local and Western Cultures
In compatibility with the multicultural nature of the Hong Kong society, we integrate the elements of Chinese, Western and Asian cultures in our curriculum planning, such as the festivals of different nations, so that our children can learn the customs and cultures of different festivals and develop a positive attitude and acceptance towards the cultures of different nations.
