Delia Memorial School began as a small institution in 1965. Named after Sister Delia Tetreault, a Canadian nun from the Holy Mother Immaculate Mission, Delia Memorial School began providing education to students in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Just as Sister Delia Tetreault fought against adversity for years, preaching the Gospel in China, our school also fought to lay a strong foundation of education for students from a wide range of backgrounds.
As a child, Delia Tetreault had a dream that called her to the religious life - she dreamt that the wheat in a field turned into the faces of children from all over the world. How fitting it is that Delia Memorial School now serves students from over 50 nations!
Since its establishment in 1965, Delia Memorial School has expanded to several campuses and has become Delia Group of Schools, which consists of 4 Direct Subsidy secondary schools, 2 primary schools, 2 kindergartens, and 2 international schools. Our enrolment has grown to around 6000 students who come from a variety of backgrounds.
Our schools span across New Territories, Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, and include the following campuses: Broadway, Glee Path, Hip Wo, and Hip Wo No. 2 Secondary Schools; Mei Foo and Tsing Yi Primary Schools, Mei Foo and Spring View Kindergartens, Delia School of Canada in Taikoo and Kowloon East. Since our modest beginnings, Delia Memorial School has expanded greatly. All of our campuses boast classroom facilities that are equipped with technology, such as tablets, laptops, projectors, computer labs, science labs, and rich educational resources.
We are proud to serve a very culturally diverse student population whose academic excellence and extracurricular involvement are exemplary. Our 670 teachers and staff are committed to providing quality education by using current teaching practices and innovative materials to prepare our students for the future.
